From: greatbrit Newsgroups: rec.gambling.poker Subject: WSOP 2003, Day 3: trust me, it's not worth reading Date: Fri, 18 Apr 2003 02:44:50 -0700 Boring will not be even close to describing today's trip report but I'd hate to miss a day then have millions of people around the world agonizing if they'd somehow lost it. I got up, I had a nice breakfast buffet, I fixed a technical problem we'd been having with the clock PCs, I lost a Roshambo match (rock paper scissors to you unsophisticates) with Perry Friedman (I claimed it was so he could 'save face' with Annie Duke who was rooting for him), I watched my friend Diego win a pot in today's 7 Stud, then I played a $225 no limit satellite. I lost, first when the small blind limped and I raised a whole bunch too much with A9 in the big blind, only to get called because she had limped with QQ, then a few hands later I thought, oh yeah, I'll show you, so I limped with QQ UTG, three callers then she raised all-in in the big blind. Obvious steal, so I called and she showed me KK. ighn. Then I went upstairs, did some stuff on a contract I'm working on, played for an hour on UltimateBet which thankfully paid for the satellite, then.... SLEPT. I woke up at 11 p.m. when a friend called, then unbelievably another friend called while I was on the first call, and I just got off the phone at 2 a.m. hence this late night trip report. So I never even got to see today's final table, or root on Diego, but that sleep felt good. Omaha 8 tomorrow, not playing that. The end. Paul
