Actually, a very well intentioned person of the female persuasion signed the account up and promptly put me in a choke hold until I capitulated. You can view them by clicking on the link below and then you should see the BARGE 2007 collection on the right. http://www.flickr.com/people/beakertehmuppet/ If you want a copy of a particular picture, or you want your picture pulled send me an e-mail with your picture # and I'll get back to you. Yeah yeah yeah, don't quit my day job. =) --- Trip Report, grouped by event. Stud/8: Donated chips to Andy Bloch twice. I think I won't even make the first break when I hit a flush on 5th and he gets the boat on 7th. Get tons of crap from work. (I work for a member of the MIT Blackjack Team, the movie comes out next year) I call work at the first break and let them know that I should be out within 10 hands, since I have to deploy new code to the site around 11pm. Last another few hours. Andy busts me about 8 from the money when I have A245 and don't make a low or anything else the rest of the way. Get more crap from work, and because I lasted so long they push the deploy to tomorrow night. Bad Beat #1, because I can't even put a good binglaha session the next day. Breakfast: Almost Bad Beat #2 when I deal with flash floods all over Rainbow on the way to food. I chose a Prius to rent for the week. I was driving it through 1-1 1/2 feet of water thinking I'm an electric chair with wheels. Lowball: Well, I've never played it before. Bust when I lose with 7-5 against pat 7. Or maybe 7-6 against 7-5. It was that close. I don't care. IFSATG. Chinese: Get scooped all around the very first hand. The other guys stare at my cards in disbelief at how bad it is. Start getting some nice hands and building a stack. Give it all back in the last hand when we all agree to double the stakes and I get scooped. ToC: Look, when your best HE hand is A8s, your Stud hands get worse while your opponent shows 4 flush or two pair, you're not going to money. Bitter. Symposium: Bad Beat #3. I throw some $ at a syndicate. Just before I can punch someone in the syndicate to bid on Spencer 2.0, the bidding closes on him. Aiyah. NLHE: I never get above 3K in chips. Yet I bust 42nd. I should've just pushed and busted at the first table, but poker tournaments is all about entertainment and I would've never gotten to these couple hands. I have 1750 and I'm heads up against BUTTNUTT Smith, who raises to 1700. I call. Miss the flop badly. He tosses two green chips to put me all in. I try to do the math. Math is hard. I fold. Disbelief all around. Ante all in. Seat 4 raises all in. Seat 5 reraises all in. Just the three of us. Seat 4 flips over aces. Seat 5 shows 9s. Flop is 6-7-picture, turn brick, river 9. Seat 5 sucks out. I flip over T8s. R00lin. Binglaha: HTHIAUATG?!??! [1] Situation #1: Chic flops quads against my boat and somehow manage to not get all my chips in. Situation #2: Juliano and I both have boats on the turn, and he redraws to a 2 outer on the river and busts me. Situation #3-1,000: There are at least 150+ people at other tables who are smart enough to not play this game. 15-30 LHE at the Bellagio: HTHIADTBBATG? NT,MTF. [2] Hand #1: Local four bets me on the turn against my two pair on a rainbow board. She hits a two outer when the J falls on the river. Hand #2: Flop KK7, jam with tourist, turn 9, jam with tourist, river 9. Fold 7s face up. I sux... Yes, there are bad beat stories up there, but the Almost Real Bad Beat is one of my travel bags was stolen out of my vehicle after I got back into town. Bastards. The good thing is that in the smash and grab, they coinflipped and did not get the camera bag. I'll take that as a win. Thank you foldem for convincing me to come. Thanks to everyone for letting me enjoy two of the three vices of my life. Rodney [1] How the hell am I up at this game? [2] How the hell am I down ten big bets at this game? Next time, miss the flight.
