Non-barger Julie says "This is the most fun I have ever had playing poker!" She will be joining us next year! JRX hopes she finds the BARGE list, she would make a good virgin Queen for next year. Playing in a optional live straddle 6-12 game at the V, mostly BARGErs, but a couple locals were also at the table. We tilted the locals/tourists, except for Julie, who "got us". Whenever somebody would turn over crap and scoop a huge pot, they would just shake their heads and sigh. Julie, in the middle seat, joined the fun and started straddling right along with us. She was lucky against only one barger, LenG, otherwise she was happily dumping chips into almost every pot and loving it. She bought at least 2 racks while I was there, and most of those chips went to ActionBob, who took the live straddle one step further, "must raise blind until somebody makes me look"! :-) He crushed us. JRX won about $20 in 2 hours, a huge ding! in that game. JRX has ActionBob on his Tivo! Still trying to get a minute to finish watching the Borgata WPT event! JRX hopes AB wins! :-) ActionBob just bluffed the entire final table, and they folded one by one! :-) MikeS loved it. As LenG says, one of the high points of the year is the start of the BARGE NL HE tourney, and one of the low points of the year is the moment you stand up and everyone claps for you. JRX's cards were cool, the beer was cold, the poker was hot and the BARGErs are just a smokin' great group of people! JRX topped off his BARGE vacation with a 4-day stop in Yosemite on the way back to the bay area. JRX is one relaxed dude. JRX should be working, but JRX is writing a BARGE trip report. It's always nice to make new BARGE friends, and see all my old BARGE friends, and some of us are getting very old! Even if they do have silly nicknames like dilligaff. :-) Tina's nick reminds me of JZK's old CA license plate, LIGAFF, which stands for Life Is Good And Full of Fun, right? :-) Thanks to Peter and Chuck and everyone who helped make BARGE happen when it was in doubt. Thanks to those who came up with some anonymous cash at the last minute to make it happen! The V was great, wonderful staff, I hope we can work it out with them next year, and they give us a $20 room rate! Ha! Thanks for those of you who arranged all the side group events. Not an easy task. JRX enjoyed the Blues Crawl, Frank and Sheri! Thanks to Ice for the group breakfast at The Egg and I. Thanks to mickdog who arranged the online financing for JRX's BARGE trip. I sucked at BARGE, but picked up almost $700 in the online BARGE tourneys and the Paradise freeroll! Ding!1! What a lovely group! See y'all next year! JRX
