From: "bob" Subject: [BARGE] My BARGE Highlights (fairly short) First of all a really big thank you to the three organizers - regardless of who did what the three of youse guys did great this was my fourth BARGE and for many reasons the best why? the group was a bit smaller this year and as a result there was more time to spend with old friends - and to make some new ones as many folks have already said, the people who attend BARGE are what makes it so cool a little poker - I had the best day that I have ever had playing in a casino last week I think it was Tuesday, perhaps Wednesday (I am sorry but the whole trip was a whirl and I ma getting old.) Anyway, I played seven sessions of the $4-$8 O8 game at the Shoe starting at about 9:30 in the morning and ending at 3 AM I won at least a rack of white each time, the last session I ruled - even with four BARGers present. The sheik took the game for three white racks and a big stack of other chips including three green chips! Sheik? yup...I became an honorary sheik after donning a towel half way thru the morning (There is a pun there for Don Perry and others who were at the game.) Anyway, I just about cleaned out the table. I think the only other winner was my buddy Adam Bachrach. My only mistake was passing by and getting enticed to give some of the money back to Shelley and Nut-Z - as well as Scottro in the baby PL game. UGH! Placing 7th in one tourney and 32nd in the NLHE (my best so far) was also cool BUT the best was seeing all my friends. The must drink game Saturday night was fantastic. Arty is absolutely correct - the Shoe is the only place where we can get away with that type of stuff - not mention all of our other non traditional games. I can just see the floor saying "Choowhat?" at any of the other casinos. My thanks again to all who helped put on the event. It was a fine time. And thanks to all of the people who made it so great...hope things are as good next year. I for one cannot wait. One last thing: I challenge one and all to a keep it off and lose more weight contest. Eric - will you host it again? regards to all and may all of your flops fit bob
