From: RMITCHCOLL@aol.com Subject: A quick Schmengie Barge Report My second Barge was even more fun then my first last year. Mike and Chuck do a tremendous job. It takes a lot of work to make it look that easy. Binions treated us great and I can see why the veteran Bargers wanted a return home. I want to add my voice to the anti-smoke complainers. For the second straight year I had a migraine attack towards the end of Barge. I think the smoke plays a part. I also have a lingering cough that I am sure is from the second hand smoke.I hope Vegas some day goes smokeless but I am not holding my breath. Some random notes: Thanks to the Mombourquettes for their friendship and especially to Sheena for the way she looked after my boys. I think that Peter Secor and Tom Sims may be the 2 nicest Human Beings on the Planet. Last year I thought that Barge was a little cliquey. It wasnt Barge, it was me. This year I felt more comfortable and was able to mingle with all the Bargers, veteran and rookies alike. I loved the tourneys and how much play we were able to get with the stacks and structures. I would suggest an ante on the 5 card stud next year. I was very happy with my play during the NLHE event. I finished 38th but didnt feel outclassed like I did last year. I cant wait for my next try. Congrats to my brother Schmengie, Don Perry, for winning the BAAP. Everything other then the poker room at Binions sucks. Winning a monster Chowaha pot with Q3 catching runner runner 3s for quads might be the poker highlight of my life. I only wish it was at the main table and not the Must Move game. I really enjoyed sitting to Quicks left for most of the TOC event. Hopefully when he sizes up next years table and gets to me he wont label me "Unknown". The only really bad play I think I made was calling Tom Hummels Re-Rai during HoP 5 card draw when I had Bug,A,J,J. His Re-Rai cried out trips but I didnt Trust my instincts.(IWHT). I should have waited for a better chance. Chris Ferguson was great. So was Spencer. It was an honor to have played with these tremendous talents. I agree with Kims complaints about the Syndicates. I was part of this years and last years Virgins. Next year I will bid on my own. The camraderie with the ADVers during the Symposium was great, but the Math doesnt seem to add up. I invested $150 into a $2000 pool of Virgins. We would have needed to pick 1st and 3rd to break even with the buy backs. We didnt. :-(. Team Chorse-GradeA+ I made 5 last longer per event with Nutz,Barry T,MPH,Ploink, and Crunch. Results- Barry won 3-0 MPH won 2-1 Ploink went 0-3 Crunch went 0-3 Nutz won 2-1 I net $10 Lost $20 to the Putz Wattman and paid 12$ bounty to Max Roman when he busted Nutz. I even made Nutz loan me a buck to pay it off. LOL. Thats all for now, thanks again to everyone for making me and my family feel so welcome. We will see you next year. Yours Truly Randy, Carol, Morgan, and Aidan Collack
