Anime Hentais Season 4

The Anime Hentais joined the Experimental Electronic Football League as season 4 began. Manager Phil "Nacho" Hernandez was a relative novice in managing and it took him time to get used to the rules and conventions.

The very first trade AH ever made was with Prune Wickart, who was then the manager of the Adirondack Automata. In return for a II/10 GK, Prune offered a II/10 FW and a CP.

The very first shark attack AH suffered was from Steve Buffum. He wanted an age 0 player and offered either a V/2 DF, a V/3 FW, or a VI/2 FW (F). To be fair to Buffum, they could have been redesignated a Captain (C), which would have added their ages to their SL.

Richard Gordon, in his pre-season predictions, said that AH would end up with 23 LP's and an 8-7-7 record (W-D-L), with a +5 GD. We didn't quite live up to his prediction. Prune predicted 24 LP's and a 9-6-7 record, also with a +5 GD.

Our team started out like this:

0 0 10 DF Ataru Moroboshi (EXP:0)

Session A started out well for the Hentais, beating WU 6-1 (49-13), beating SF 7-1 (34-21), and losing to WC 3-0 (27-5). Additional trivia at the time included a 2-1 (12-20) AA victory over OML on the road. This was the first game that OML had lost at home in over two seasons. OML then lost to OBT in match 3 1-0 (8-2, 1pen), nearly equalling their three losses in Season 3.

Session B was a disaster, being blown out 0-12 (2-48) by CP, then losing 0-1 (5-11) to MMM, but salvaging a 1-1 (6-11) draw against HBB. Bruce commented, "OBT in second place is astonishing! They were dead last for a season and a half. And the Hampshire Eagles have already earned more LPs than they did in 22 games last season! Can these miraculous turnarounds be sustained?"

Session C saw a 0-3 (0-13) loss to AST, followed by a 0-0 (4-1) draw against HE, then another 0-0 (10-12) draw versus AA.

In session D, we suffered a 0-2 (7-12) loss to OML, then a 0-0 (5-13) draw against OBT that saw Hokuto Ken pull a muscle, then our first victory since match #2 1-0 (2-9) against HBB. This session also saw an 18-0 (114-1) drubbing of WU by AST.

Session E started with a 0-0 (3-4) draw against AA, then continued with a 0-5 (1-20) loss to HE, and finally another loss 1-3 (5-12) versus MMM.

Session F contained a 0-0 (3-15) draw against WC, then a 2-1 (13-7) victory against OBT, then a 0-1 (10-9) loss to the Smurfs.

Session G saw a 3-1 (8-7) victory over WU, then a 3-0 (10-7) victory over CP, and then a 3-1 (6-8) victory over AST, garnering AH a Dude Point. This session also saw AH's first shark attack. OBT sharked us, paying $40K for a TP.

Finally, in the last match of the regular season (session G2), AH lost to OML 0-2 (2-10).

AH finished the regular season with a 7-6-9 record (6th out of 12), with 27 goals for and 38 goals against, a -11 GD.

The playoffs began auspiciously with a 7-0 (25-0) blasting of WU. Then, in the second round, a minute 89 goal sealed a loss to OML, 2-1 (5-21), after a header by Ken in minute 25 put the Hentais in the lead. Then against HE, AH lost 0-1 (2-6). Finally, in a match to decide 7th or 8th place, AH defeated SF 1-0 (12-5).

The ending roster for AH in season 4 was:

3 15 2 GK Daneel Openshaw
2 10 10 GK Nene Romanova
1 0 10 GK Eve Tokimatsuri (EXP:0.00)

2 12 0 SW Kyoko Otonashi
1 2 10 SW Lynn Minmei (EXP:4.00)

2 10 4 DF LovelyAngel Yuri
3 9 4 DF Leon McNichol

3 10 5 MF Ranma Saotome
2 10 2 MF Eiji Takanaka (F)
4 8 4 MF Clancy Kanuka (F)
4 6 10 MF Yahagi Shogo
1 2 6 MF Ryunosuke Fujinami (EXP:4.00)

(Yes, I had no clue about the proper coaching/training procedures!)

FW Hokuto Ken took the Really Big Bootlace with 16 goals scored (losing to OBT's Konnor Worley who had 17). SW Kyoko Otonashi shared the title for Most Saves with SF's M. Smurf. Each made 26 saves. Finally, MF Clancy Kanuka shared the title for Most Assists with OML's P. Schickele with 9 assists. All three of the above players made the EEFL Selection Team. GK Daneel Openshaw played 17-1/3 matches, allowing 11 goals and making 26 saves for a rating of -0.933.
